Massive V8 Power: AMG took Mercedes' 6.3-liter M100 V8 and bored it out to a monstrous 6.8 liters, pumping out an incredible 428 HP and over 600 Nm of torque.
The Spa 24 Hours Miracle: At the 1971 24 Hours of Spa, this heavy, leather-appointed luxury sedan took 2nd overall and won its class, battling against agile lightweight coupes.
"Rote Sau" (Red Pig) Legend: Nicknamed the Red Pig because of its hefty size, deep roar, and bright red race livery, it single-handedly put AMG on the international motorsport map.
